The TIP41C is a base island technology NPN power transistor in the TO-220 plastic package that makes this device suitable for audio, power linear, and switching applications. The complementary PNP type is TIP42C. The TIP41C can drive a maximum of 6 amperes of load. It will be a perfect substitution if you want to replace a TIP31, TIP31C, or other similar transistors in your circuit to drive more load.
